Layers of sand, pebbles, gravel and anthracite remove sediments and other suspended particles in the water

Specialized media include manganese greensand which removes iron and manganese, and KDF media which removes heavy metals and hydrogen sulfide.

Used as part of the pretreatment of commercial and industrial RO systems
